“I've been playing it on and off since delivery, but I finally had some quality time to spend with this amp - everything I wanted and more. I would highly recommend you to anyone looking for an exceptional amplifier. Your build quality and the tone are above expectations! I couldn’t be happier. I’ve had a chance to play some last night and today. The rough handling tag was red when delivered. The amp was delivered yesterday all in good order in spite of FedEx’s handling. I received my amp today and have been putting it through it's paces. Oh and btw the attenuator is the best thing since sliced bread.” Is this the kind of amp that needs to break in? If so, how is that achieved? I’d appreciate a little education from you. Sorry I didn’t have a chance to write sooner. I tried out my new Tweed amp last night, it sounds great, very rich tone. Now you can use those unmatched NOS tubes you have! It allows for balancing the bias as the power tubes age. Galactic Grounding system and DC referenced heater system for low humīias pots for each power tube allowing for the use of matched or unmatched tubes pairs. Special resistor selection for low noise and great tone Two Channels: Bright and Normal with high and low inputs for eachīright Volume, Normal Volume, Bass, Treble, and Presence Controls Hand wired for great sound and easy servicing
No other builder makes a Tweed Super, Bandmaster, or Pro with as much attention to detail or power flexibility. Mine are built with all the tone of the originals with lower floor noise. A by-passable master volume is optional and highly recommend for players using the amp at home. The 30W or a 15W version all with the same tube compliment so the sound is consistent. The 15W version allows for earlier overdrive and is more useable for most players but still has plenty of power to play most places. The original Super/Pro/Bandmasters were famously played by Pete Townsend, Stephen Stills and many others.Īt 30 Watts it's great mid powered amp for blues, rockabilly, rock and roll and classic rock players and can play most any club.
The 5U4 rectifier and Alinco speaker combine to give it touch sensitive compression.
The overdrive is gritty and full of character and the cleans are crisp, rich, and exceptional. The Super, Pro and Bandmaster amp all used the same circuit but different speaker configurations (2X10, 1X15 and 3X10 respectively) The CPC 30 is my version of the famous Tweed Bandmaster, Super and Pro style amps. We build a variety of ext cabs for these amps in 1x12, 2x12, 2x10, 4x10, and 1x15 sizes. Padded, Canvas, and Vinyl Amp Covers are available be sure to ask if you want one with your amp.
